The fourth day of our mobility program began with a trip to the Beaujolais UNESCO Global Geopark, a region recognized for its rich geological heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and cultural significance. This geopark is located in the heart of France’s famous wine country and offers a fascinating blend of nature, history, and human activity that has shaped the land over millions of years.

We started the day with a fantastic visit to the Hameau Duboeuf, a unique wine-themed park and museum. It’s one of the largest wine museums in Europe, where we learned about the history of winemaking, explored vintage equipment, and experienced interactive exhibits that made the story of wine come to life. The visit was both educational and entertaining, offering a deeper appreciation of the region’s wine culture.

For lunch, we enjoyed a wonderful picnic surrounded by nature and stunning views, the perfect way to relax and connect with the environment. This took place at Mount Brouilly, a small volcanic hill that rises above the Beaujolais vineyards. Known for its scenic beauty and panoramic views, Mount Brouilly is also an important symbol in the area, often associated with both geological and cultural heritage.

After the picnic, we went on a hike around Mount Brouilly, which allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the region. The fresh air, picturesque landscapes, and peaceful atmosphere made the hike a memorable and refreshing experience.

Our afternoon ended with a visit to Oingt, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Perched on a hilltop, Oingt is known for its charming medieval streets, golden stone houses, and spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. Walking through the village felt like stepping back in time, and it was the perfect way to end an unforgettable day
