Day 1 - welcome to our school !
Rute’s words, a teacher from Portugal :
This week marks the final mobility of the Erasmus+ project “Embrace Diversity to Live Better Together”, taking place in the beautiful town of Villefranche-sur-Saône, located in the heart of the Beaujolais region in France. Known for its charming streets, historical architecture, and vibrant culture, Villefranche-sur-Saône offers the perfect setting for an international educational exchange.
The first day began with a warm welcome at Collège Jean Moulin, the host school for this mobility. Collège Jean Moulin is a dynamic and inclusive secondary school, dedicated to academic excellence and the personal development of its students. The opening ceremony started with a speech from the school’s principal, who highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and collaboration.
After the welcome speech, we were given a guided tour of the school, where we had the opportunity to discover its facilities and learn more about its educational approach. Lunch was served at the school and was specially prepared by students , showcasing their culinary talents and commitment to hospitality.
In the afternoon, we visited the Town Hall, where we were received with great hospitality by local representatives. Each team then presented their country and school, celebrating the diversity and unity at the heart of this Erasmus+ project.
To end the day, we took part in an exciting escape room challenge that allowed us to explore Villefranche-sur-Saône in a fun and interactive way, discovering hidden corners and learning more about the city’s rich history.
It was a wonderful start to what promises to be an unforgettable week of learning, sharing, and embracing diversity.
